Local author Thomas J. “Tommy” Harrelson will stop by Wilmington’s Pomegranate Books on Tuesday, February 25th for a discussion and book signing. The event will celebrate his new book portraying the life and work of Southport’s first known professional photographer and artist, Arthur Newton.

Harrelson lives in Southport where he went to school for 10 years before finishing high school at Campbell Junior College. He served two terms in the North Carolina House of Representatives and in the administration of Governor Jim Martin as Secretary of Transportation.
