Calling all dog owners! The Fourth Annual Bowser Bash is set to delight on-lookers again this October, as local dogs dress up in their Halloween best, judges do their thing and everyone cheers on the furry prancers as they parade down the waterfront. All proceeds will go to a local animal charity. Several categories of winners to be decided.

Lori and Rick Sall were visiting Carolina Beach a few years ago, and came across their local dog Halloween contest, and thought what a great idea for Southport, and the Bowser Bash was born. Since then each year it has grown, and this year is set to be even bigger. With over $2000 raised last year, there will be plenty of opportunities for you to win prizes and have fun, while supporting the community too.

Come out to the Waterfornt Park on October 27, festivities start at 3p.m. $5 per pet registration.
