Growing up, I was always drawn to my mother’s closet, marveling at the rows of pretty things and lovely high heels. My brothers and I would often play dress up in her closet.  Often the three of us could be found lying around her room, watching her as she got ready for a night out.  With this incontestable mother-child bond on my mind and my love of style, I thought it fitting that our Fashion issue reflect a Mother’s Day theme. Our backdrop was the beautiful, historical Robert Ruark Inn.  Local shops sent mother and child models, styled by each boutique showcasing their unique spring fashions!  We were blessed with a perfect day, fantastic models, a talented photographer and the magnificent Inn. Spring flowers and foliage with gorgeous shades of pinks, purples, and greens set the perfect canvas for the photo shoot!  A big THANK YOU to Rick and Linda Pukenas, owners of the Robert Ruark Inn for allowing us to use the Inn and welcoming us so warmly.  And of course genuine thanks to all the shops and models for their participation!  We hope you enjoy these photographs as much as we enjoyed creating them!
