Haunted Trails & Festivals

If you are in the mood to really get scared, why not take a short trip over to Grissettown and take a haunted trail ride. The sponsors really go all out to give their audiences a great scare, while having fun. All proceeds go to the local Grissettown Longwood Fire and Rescue.  So get scared for a good cause this Halloween. This is not for the faint of heart.

This haunted trail ride was voted top Halloween attraction of 2016. Tours start at 7p.m. and run until late.

Location:

758 Longwood Rd, Ocean Isle Beach, Grissettown.

For more information call 910-287-3030. Or email: station31@atmc.net

The trail is a self guided tour filled with interactive props and actors. Actors are firefighters and community volunteers. The trail takes about 30min to complete.  Money raised goes to help fund the fire dept.

This is not a little kiddy attraction, although it is family friendly.  There are thousands of man hours involved in putting together this trail, it takes an entire year to prepare.

The trail yearly takes in about 3,000 customers from all over the state and has won 2 local awards for the scariest haunted attraction.

Fri & Sat, October 4 & 5

Fri & Sat, October 11 & 12

Fri & Sat, October 18 & 19

St. Phillips Fall Festival

October 5, 9a.m. – 4 p.m.

The Ladies of St Phillips have been working hard on arts and crafts for months. They’ve been cooking up delicious baked goods, all ready for their fall festival in Southport.

Some of the raffle items include Bed and Breakfast weekends, Dinners at local restaurants, gift baskets and much more.

The bakesale and raffle tickets will be under the big tent out front, but all the crafts and goodies for sale will be inside in the hall.

The crafts include hand painted shells, fall wreaths, Christmas ornaments, centerpieces, baskets, and much more. Ida P, one of the event coordinators assured me that this year’s crafts include some of the  most prettiest they’ve ever had.

This is one festival you will not want to miss!
