John Banks of Boiling Spring Lakes nominated The NC 4^th of July Festival as a top community celebration in Johnsonville’s nationwide search for the “Best of US!”   He was notified the festival has been selected as one of 20 top community celebrations. Johnsonville called on America to share the inspiring stories about the events and festivals that make our country great, and they received many entries—narrowing them down to only 20 across the United States.

Beginning Thursday, May 23rd, America will be able to vote for their favorite community celebrations on Johnsonville’s website. From May 23rd until June 14th folks can vote once per day, per category. While voting, please also place a vote in the second category: Educators.

On or around June 24th, Johnsonville will announce the top 10 Best of US in these two categories: Educators and Community Celebrations. The nomination receiving the highest number of votes in each category will earn a grand prize of $10,000, with the additional nine finalists each receiving $1,000!
