Southport was all a buzz at the first annual Maggie Awards held at the Amuzu Theatre on February 7th 2015 and so was the staff and crew, for months before the event, however, the Southport Magazine’s 2015 “Hardest Worker” Award goes to….Kris Beasley

It’s just amazing how a Woman with enough drive and determination to move mountains can create such a brilliant idea and pull off such a smooth event and still look so beautiful doing it! This story is to highlight and lift up the one person that works so hard to bring Southport Magazine together each and every month and to throw in events in grand fashion to boot!

Hello readers it’s Uncle Pennybags here and I’m writing this story on the website without approval from the boss. So this one might not be here for very long so enjoy it if you see it!

There is no way I describe what the AMAZING Kris Beasley goes through each month to make the Southport Magazine come together so well. It’s simply mind blowing to say the least, as the supporting husband! All that said, then she announces that she’s taking on more by creating the Maggie Awards idea. Suddenly her daily mode of operation is at an all new level of high pace coordination, precise execution of tasks and extreme attention to details. All on the new idea of the Maggie Awards. Now don’t forget she’s already operating at a level most of us could only handle for a few minutes and then just say “I’m done”, when it get’s stressful. I’d say this woman operates at a NASA space mission kind of accuracy with a hint of Nuclear Reactor Senior Operator precision decision making! NO KIDDING PEOPLE! So when I say this Chick is awesome, I really mean it! She is also still a Wife and a Mother, Daughter, Sister, Best Friend and can cook like no body’s business! Did I mention that she is a Cancer Survivor? Yes, all this is why I have to take this opportunity to brag on her!

Kris Beasley is by far the most incredible woman I have ever met! She is a Warrior of a Woman and just totally amazing!

Please take a minute if you see her around town doing what she does to please everyone she can and produce the best possible publication that she can, each and every month, to tell her how great she is! She really deserves as much praise as we can give her for at least a few days until she makes me take this post down!

She does not like this kind of thing and will certainly force me to remove the post.

I sincerely thank everyone that has helped make her dream of the Southport Magazine come true and also so well received in the community! Bless you all forever!
