Oak Island Celebrates Mardi Gras By The Sea

The good times are set to roll on Oak Island at the 2020 Oak Island Mardi Gras by the Sea Parade and Festival on Saturday, March 7.
here the festival and car show await on the Middleton Park soccer fields. The festival and car show will run from 1-4 p.m
Festival activities include a people costume contest and dog costume contest and parade, kids’ activities, and craft and food vendors. Old Man Mafia will also be performing, playing southern rock, rock, blues and country.
Festival goers will be able to vote for the car show awards including People’s Choice, Mayor’s Choice, Children’s Choice and Best Costume Car.
Individuals and businesses can register to participate in the parade by calling the Oak Island Recreation Center office at (910) 278-5518. Registration for the pet costume contest and parade will be at a tent on festival day. The pet parade will circle Middleton Park at 2:30 p.m.
