Fried OREOS? Yes ma’am. They might be a guilty pleasure but delight customers at Tranquil Harbor Restaurant & Bar, located at 5908 E Oak Island Drive. Tranquil Harbor offers delicious southern seafood, a relaxed atmosphere and exceptional customer service.

May is the month to celebrate the arrival of the warm weather and of course Mother’s Day. What better place to take your mother, than this charming restaurant. She will certainly find something delicious on the menu – that’s a guarantee.
You can take advantage of the sun and all it has to offer by enjoying a meal or cool off with a round of drinks on the outdoor patio. Although you can’t see it from the front, looks are deceiving. It hosts the perfect spot for those warm Summer evenings.
Tranquil Harbor is all about family. It’s a family owned and operated business and you get the feeling the customers are family too. I had a lovely chat with owner, Kelly Goldnehring and she gave me to scoop about Tranquil Harbor. She has over 25 years in the service and food industry and absolutely loves it. She lives and breathes it. She loves meeting people and wants to make sure every customer is treated like family.

I get the feeling that she embodies the golden rule – treat others how you want to be treated. She incorporates this into the restaurant for a winning combination.
She clearly has a passion for the hospitality industry and Tranquil Harbor is her baby. She’s been coming to Oak Island for over 25 years, and she knew it was where she wanted to open a restaurant. She loves this area and it feels like home.
“We want to give every customer the experience they deserve and expect from a southern restaurant. Every meal is made to order and we only use fresh, locally sourced ingredients. We create everything from scratch, “ Kelly revealed.
A recent customer commented… “..The food is upscale and fresh, but not overdone. The chef is creative and excellent, the bar is well-stocked, the service is attentive and the overall atmosphere is a step up from casual, without being stuffy or pretentious…”
It’s also the perfect place to bring the whole family. You’ll feel welcomed the moment you step in the door and it’s cozy.
With their newly extended summer hours, and daily tapa specials, you’ve got plenty of reason to stop by… you’ll be glad you did.
