Kid’s Day in the Park

Franklin Square Park turns Art into FUN
STORY by Ami Brown
The Associated Artists of Southport and the City of Southport host Kid’s Day in the Park each year. Franklin Square Park is transformed into a place for artistic expression, creativity and family fun. Bring the whole family out on April 14th this year to do crafts, learn about art from some of our local artists, and get your hands dirty painting and having fun. Oh yeah – you can get your face painted too! WOW. 11am til 2pm.
Kids of all ages are invited to Southport’s Franklin Square Park on Saturday, April 14, for a day of fun with the arts. The annual Kid’s Day in the Park will run from 11 am until 2 pm.
Children will experience jewelry making, spin art, face painting, and flower pot painting, among other activities. All types of art are set up at various stations hosted by local artists.
