OKI Public Arts Trail Input Sessions

The Town of Oak Island is looking for public input as it launches a new public art initiative, the Oak Island Public Art Trail. “Whether it’s to celebrate nature, remember history, or simply enrich the lives of residents and visitors alike, this is an opportunity for everyone to come out and share their vision, helping to build upon the Town Council’s direction to establish a public art initiative in Oak Island,” said Oak Island Economic Development Director Hallie Willis.

Two workshops will be held at the 801 Ocean Events Center, 801 Ocean Drive — an evening workshop on Monday, Oct. 16 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm and a daytime workshop on Tuesday, Oct. 17 from 10 am to noon.

According to Willis, the workshops will have five different arts and crafts stations to help bring out the creative side of all ages and skill levels.
